Gijs Phoelich has been working in the European telecom and ICT industry for over 20 years. In 1999, he co-founded a start-up company in the Dutch telecommunications sector. For this company he acted as the legal and regulatory manager. In 2002, Gijs joined telecommunications company Tiscali to become legal, regulatory and public affairs manager for the Tiscali group. In 2006, he left Tiscali to get his MBA degree at RSM Erasmus University in Rotterdam. 

From the start of his career, he has been involved in the regulatory development of the (national and international) telco industry. He has been an active member of several trade associations, such as ECTA (European Competitive Telecommunications Association) where he was member of the Board before he became chairman between 2016 and 2019. 

Gijs joined Eurofiber in 2008. Since then, he has contributed to the development and growth of the company. In recent years, he played a key role in the international expansion of the company to both France and Germany, as well as in the development and execution of the company’s CSR policies.
